Sarah "Sally" Berlin Eberhart

Sarah "Sally" Berlin was born 8 July 1798 in Westmoreland County, PA, the daughter of Jacob Berlin and Susanna Byerly. Sally married Paul Eberhart in Westmoreland County ca. 1818. She was the mother of nine children. The eldest three, Josias, Anna Maria, and Naomi, were born in Westmoreland County, and all died young. 

Paul and Sally settled in Hickory Township ca. 1820. Here they raised their family of six surviving children: Susanna (married T. Kennedy Black), Caroline (married Jonathan Lineberger), Hiram J. Berlin (married Caroline Kirk), Sarah (married Levi Berlin), Reuben Israel (married Susanna Phillips) and Mahala (married Albert Pool).

Paul died 9 Oct 1865 and is buried in the Keel Ridge Cemetery in Hermitage, PA. He was born in Westmoreland County 8 Feb 1796, the son of Christian Eberhart and Anna Maria Snyder.

Sally lived her last years in Delaware County, Iowa, where she moved with her youngest son Reuben. Susanna, Hiram, and Sarah also migrated to Iowa. 

Sally died 7 Feb 1891 and is buried in the Hopkinton Cemetery in Delaware County, Iowa.
