Submitted by Carol Judy Zapolnik

Thomas Jefferson Townley (11 Sept 1839 - 24 Apr 1903), son of John Brown Townley and Priscilla McKinley Townley of Crawford County, PA.  He was a dry goods clerk, per 1800 census.  They also had a son, John Brown Townley (17 Apr 1875 - 12 May 1943) who was an 1896 graduate of Allegheny College.  He was, for almost a half century, a member of the Editorial Staff at the Pittsburgh Press and was one of the state's outstanding political writers.

Mary Jane "Jennie" Davis (4 Nov 1848 - 10 Dec 1908) was the daughter of David Davis and Ruth R. McElwain.  Jennie was a milliner and a member of the Free Baptist Chruch, Chestnut St., Meadville.  Prior to 1869, she lived in Mercer County.
