Andrew was born Dec 12, 1912 in Numine, Pa., son of Joseph
and Mary Mikita, Ukrainian immigrants. Joseph was a coalminer.

Dravo Digger No. 9 traveled up and down the Ohio river
dredging sand and gravel from the river bottom.
