Family of Oliver Westover Ross, b Cambria Co, PA son of Nathan Ross, b. 26 May 1814, Stoney Creek Twp, Somerset Co, PA and Phoebe Miller, daughter of John "Saucy Jack" Miller of Bedford/Somerset Co, PA.

Oliver Westover Ross married Margaret L. Shankle, b. 1851.  They became the parents of:

  • John W. Ross, b. 1870
  • Enna Barbara Ross, b. 1871, married Alex Irvin Biss
  • Elizabeth Catherine Ross, married Clayton O'Harra
  • Delmont F. Ross, b. 1876, married Addie E. Smead
  • Isabel Ross, b. 1881
  • Nathan Henry Ross, married Emma Jane Westover
  • Bertha Mae Ross, b. 1884, married Lloyd Shankle
  • James L. Ross, married Robie/Ruby M. Rickard
  • Charles Oliver Ross, b. 1889, married Thelma Elaine Shankle, Maggie Griffith and Cora Livingstone
  • Blaine Adam Ross, b. 1891, married Mary Adeline "Mayme" Westover
