Paul E Doverspike obituary

Paul E. Doverspike, 83, of 128 J.R. Resourses Drive, Ringgold, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2004, in Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born Aug. 5, 1920, in Jefferson County, he was the son of Clark E. and Ida May Deibler Doverspike, and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Doverspike was a foreman for the Crawford Furniture Co. for many years. In his later years, he managed the Doverspike Brothers Farms of Ringgold.

He was a member of the Timblin United Methodist Church.

Mr. Doverspike first was married to Bernice Larue Snyder, who died Jan. 11, 1984. He later married Emogene W. Weaver, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter and her husband,  two stepchildren, five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Charles D. Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Don Brauer officiating.

Interment will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery, Redbank Township, Armstrong County.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Timblin United Methodist Church, Timblin.
