Benjamin Franklin Hepler

Benjamin Franklin Hepler (1832-1894) born in Clarion Co., PA the son of Jacob
and Mary Brinker Hepler. He attended Allegheny College in Meadville, PA and the
Philadelphia Medical College and graduated about 1858. He moved to Nevada City,
MO were he started his medical practice. Later, during the Civil War he moved
his family to Fort Scott, KS where he remained and became a prominent citizen.
He was first married to Sarah Snowden and had eight children of which only 2
survived childhood. He later married Mrs. Mary Mills Ranney.
