 Oran and Nancy Terwilliger Photo Album

Photographs found in a Victorian photo album that belonged to the submitter's
great-grandparents, Orin Burton and Nancy Margaret Humphreys Terwilliger of
Millcreek Township, Clarion County, PA. This album contained pictures of
siblings of each, parents, other relatives and friends.
Nancy Margaret Humphrey "Nannie", daughter of John Andrew and Eliza Jane
(McMillan) Humphreys, was born 20 Jun 1869 in Clarion Co, PA. She died 8 May
1919 in Punxsutawney, Young Twp, Jefferson Co, PA and was buried 10 May 1919 in
Presbyterian Cemetery, Fisher, Clarion Co, PA She attended the Soldiers'
Orphans school in Dayton, Armstrong Co., PA from 1882 to 1885 and graduated from
there in July. She was a schoolteacher. Many members of her family lived in
Jefferson County, PA.
Orin Burton Terwilliger, son of William P Terwilliger and Mary Ann Potter,
was born on 25 Dec 1867 in Fisher, Millcreek Twp, Clarion Co, PA, and married
Nancy Margaret Humphreys on 28 Jul 1890 in Brookville, Jefferson Co, PA. Orin.
He was a farmer in Millcreek Twp. O. B. died on 4 Feb 1950 in Oil City,
Cornplanter Twp, Venango Co, PA and was buried on 7 Feb 1950 in Presbyterian
Cemetery, Fisher, Clarion Co, PA.
Orin and Nannie had the following children:
- Iva May Terwilliger was born on 27 Mar 1892 and died on 20 Feb 1965.
Married Lincoln Glade Stroupe and lived in Clarion, PA.
- Floyd Lee Terwilliger was born on 8 May 1894 and died in Sep 1947.
Married Carolyn 'Carrie' Wallace and lived in Jefferson and Venango counties
in PA.
- Dora Leila Terwilliger was born on 19 Sep 1896 in Fisher, Millcreek
Twp, Clarion Co, PA and died on 20 Nov 1961 in Brookville, Pine Creek Twp,
Jefferson Co, PA. She married Roy Emanuel Cookson "Joby" and they lived in
Clarion, PA.
- Burton Humphrey Terwilliger was born on 16 Jul 1901 in Millcreek Twp,
Clarion Co, PA and died on 22 Nov 1974 in Fisher, Millcreek Twp, Clarion Co,
PA. He married Ethel Irene Beers, daughter of Ernest Eugene Beers and Alice
Amanda Bowersox. They lived on a farm in Millcreek Twp, Clarion Co, PA.
