Homeville Junior High School, Mifflin Township, Allegheny
County, PA 1939
Listed as a New School Building in 1939. "The Homeville Junior High
School is a modern, fire-proof building containing seven regular and five
special classrooms. The special rooms include a library and rooms for art,
science, home economics, and industrial arts. There are also an auditorium
and a gymnasium. A public address system, indirect lighting, modern
offices, a health room, teachers' room, modern classroom seating and equipment,
and a thermostatically controlled, univent heating system are features of this
building. The approximated cost was $299,610.00, of which $131,180.00* was
a P. W. A. [Public Works Administration] grant *anticipated grant, final credit not made."
