Mary Naomi Willard Brooks
Mary Naomi (Willard) Brooks (1864-1948) was born in Ohio in 1864, the daughter of Judge Lockhart Willard and Olive Hester Clark. She was educated in Iowa and taught for three years before marrying Bryant Butler Brooks in Nebraska, c 1886. They settled in Wyoming where her five children were born and raised on their ranch. Deeply interested in politics, she served as a member of the Republican National Committee in 1924. A passionate genealogist, she was a member and officer in the DAR.
