Portrait of Unknown Little Girl

Portrait of Unknown Little Girl

The photo of this little girl is part of an album dated December 25, 1890. It is believed this little girl and other photos are relations and/or friends of the Hoagland family of Clinton, Summit County, Ohio (who relocated to Navarre, Stark Co., Ohio). This album was inherited from my great-grandparents, Thomas Carl & Fern Mary (Hoagland) Stringfellow of Navarre, Stark County, Ohio.
The picture was taken by Dawson Portraits; Opposite Archer House, Wooster, Ohio.

According to "Ohio photographers : 1839-1900" by Diane VanSkiver Gagel, Dawson worked in Wooster from 1893-1900. The style of her little poofy sleeves is consistent with this era.
