John Alfred Young 1859-1929 and wife Margaret "Maggie" Davis 1855-1942.

John Alfred Young 1859-1929, was born in Venango County to Samuel Young and Catherine Mercer.

Margaret "Maggie" Davis 1855-1942, was born in Crawford County to John Matthew Davis and Martha Davis.

They had two sons, Samuel James Young 1879-1953 and William James Young 1881-1969.

John was a farmer in South Shenango Township with a Saw Mill and Cider Mill operation, he also produced large quantities of maple syrup in the springtime. Maggie was a school teacher in South Shenango Township at a one room school house during the 1880s and 1890s.
