Rice Family Homestead - Riceland Farms

Rice Family Homestead - Riceland Farms

Riceland Farms, the homestead of the Rice Family. It was owned by Harry Alva Rice and Irma Jane Jones Rice with their children: Meryl Rice, Mary Alwilda Rice Sharp and Mona Rice Irons.

The house and farm were situated on Route 27, just east of Chapmanville, Pa. and down a long lane marked by a large stone wall. This was a classical late 1800s farm home with all the expected design features of the early American Home.

The house burned down in the 1950s.
