Erwin Eugene "Gene" Williams and Two Air Force Pals

Erwin Eugene "Gene" Williams and Two Air Force Pals

Ervin Eugene "Gene" Williams, right, son of Doug and Mina Barnes Williams. He was in World War II in the Air Force, hauling supplies and carrying out wounded behind the lines in the European Theatre. He was shot down 7 times, and the last time was taken as a POW of the Germans for 10 days before the US won the war.

Photo taken with two of his pals after he had crash landed one time.

When he got out of the war, he met Ruth Evelyn Snyder from Bedford Co., daughter of Charles Russell Snyder and Virgie Koontz. Their first son was Roger Eugene Williams.

My husband is the son of Ervin Eugene "Gene" and Ruth Evelyn Snyder Williams
