Nancy Jane Peters was the mother of Lucy Belle Parks. Nancy was raised in or near Turtle Creek, PA abt 1827. Her parents are unknown.

Photo taken at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, John Herman Stauffer and Lucy Belle Parks Stauffer in Dry Ridge, Westmoreland Co. The bear skin rug according to family legend was killed in the Turtle Creek Valley by Nancy Peters' father abt 1810.
