Pittsburgh, PA., Feb 19 - - David M. Roderick, chairman of the 1980 Metropolitan Pittsburgh "Take Stock in America" Savings Bond Campaign, and Pittsburgh Steeler Rockey Bleier look over a super-size bond at the kickoff of this year's Savings Bond Campaign.
The goal of the drive is to enroll one out of every four employees in organization in Allegheny, Westmoreland, Butler, Beaver, and Washington Counties who do not presently buy Savings Bonds and increase the savings by 25 per cent of those already participating in the program.
Bleier pointed out that the purchase of Savings Bonds by millions of Americans contributes significantly to the stability of the dollar and helps in the administration of the national debt.
