Elizabeth Meyers Stauffer

Elizabeth Meyers Stauffer (1782-1878), daughter of Christian and Mary Meyers. Her father was a Revolutionary War veteran. She became a Mennonite in her youth and married Abraham Stauffer Jr., the son of Rev. Abraham Stauffer, the first Mennonite minister to cross the Alleghenies. Their brick farmhouse built in 1822 in Tyrone twp., Fayette Co., PA, is presently used as a bed & breakfast. They are buried in Alte Menist Cemetery, Pennsville, Fayette Co., PA.
